Next community meeting and candidate forum

Please mark your calendar for Tuesday January 23rd from 7-9pm. The Roseway Neighborhood Association will host a community meeting (aka general meeting) to describe what it means to be in Portland District 3 and how neighbors will connect to the city.

First, leaders of Southeast Uplift will describe what a district coalition office is, and how it helps neighborhood associations connect with the city. They will describe the types of issues that are great for a neighborhood association to tackle, and when it will be best to connect directly with a city councilor. There will be time for Q&A.

The centerpiece of the meeting will be a Q&A forum with the District 3 city council candidates, giving you a first look at who will be on your November ballot.

We will have nine of the ten District 3 candidates there. (Rex Burkholder sends his regrets; he will be traveling at that time). Three will become our city councilors in January of 2025. Get to know your district, its candidates, and our new form of city government!

  • Time: 7-9pm, with a meet-and-greet with candidates starting at 6:30pm

  • Place: Recovery Café Roseway, 3516 NE 71st Ave, Portland, OR 97213

  • Zoom option: Use this link.
