It’s Time for Roseway’s Annual Clean-up Event!

This year’s date is Saturday, May 30th, at Glenhaven Park (NE Siskiyou St and 82nd Ave) from 9am to 3pm.  This community event is a great opportunity to clean out your house, yard and garage while supporting your neighborhood at the same time. We will accept METAL, PLASTIC, YARD DEBRIS, WOOD WASTE, ELECTRONICS, BULKY WASTE and TIRES.

Suggested donations are $10/car, $15/truck, $20/large truck, $3/tire, $5/tire w/ rim.

Please note: we will NOT accept old-fashioned tube TVs, paint, light bulbs, dirt, sod, concrete, chemicals, batteries or other hazardous waste. For more information on how to recycle these things see Metro’s site: http://www.oregonmetro.gov/tools-living/garbage-and-recycling or call 503-234-3000.

The crowd-pleasing YOU PRICE IT area returns again. Donate your reusable household goods to the community and give them a new home. Then, enjoy shopping for garage sale style bargains!

In order to make this event a success, we need over 75 VOLUNTEERS. Come join the fun! The volunteer shifts are 3 hours long and scheduled from 8am – 11am, 10:30am -1:30pm, and 1pm – 4pm.  Shift leaders and volunteers are needed for: Plastics, Yard Debris/Wood Waste; Metal; Bulky Waste; Greeters/ Cashiers, Traffic Control, You Price It, and Rebuilding Center.  As an added bonus, all volunteers get to bring a load to the Clean Up for free, get first pick at the You Price It area and receive complimentary refreshments. Several volunteer spots are still needed and we look forward to seeing you!

To volunteer, please e-mail rosewayvolunteer@gmail.com and let us know your top three preferences, in order, for the area and shift for which you would like to volunteer and whether you are willing to be a shift leader.  PLEASE BRING: Refillable coffee mugs, water bottles to make this a GREEN event. We’ll happily provide refills.
